DEVON RISNER
MY STORY
I knew from a very young age that music would always play an important part in my life. On my 16th birthday, I received a Squier Stratocaster, this was my real first taste of what I could learn. Once I started playing I was hooked, and I could not stop.
I like to experiment with various music genres and ways to create sound to harness it into music. I’m never afraid to tackle any project or find new, creative ways to come up with something fresh and original. HOW I FEEL ABOUT MUSIC
My love for music always shaped my character and my personality. It has influenced me and it shows how I feel about the world and those who lead it. Creating music is not just a way to pass time, it is a part of me and how I live.
A CAREER IN MUSIC
I plan to create a career for myself with music. Whether it in freelancing, composition, or my own creation. I know that music must be a part of my life for me to feel accomplished and complete.
THE IMPORTANCE OF MUSIC DIVERSITY TO ME
I have tried hard to greatly diverse myself in multiple types of music and each instrument that you might find in that genre. All the way to banjo, drums, guitar, and bass. I believe the best musician is one who can play anything they are given.
EDUCATION
I have plans to go to college for music and would love to study jazz. It has such a complex structure of meaning which has a compelling interest to me. In college, if am hoping to gain knowledge of music and how I can create it with more meaning. Also, meeting new people with similar interests as me and similar motives for life to meet life long friends and perhaps career partners.
